Take a quick 25-minute trip from Helsinki to Ainola, the home of Jean Sibelius, Finland's legendary national composer. Some of the most widely known works of Sibelius can be heard all around the world; for instance symphonies and the hymn "Finlandia". Ainola was the home of Jean Sibelius from 1904 onwards. Away from the hustle and bustle of the capital Helsinki the Tuusula area gave him peace to concentrate on his work. Ainola is an authentic home museum and still has many artifacts that belonged to the composer Jean Sibelius and his wife Aino.

The nature of Lake Tuusula has also inspired many painters. A unique artist community was formed around Lake Tuusula at the turn of the century. Many of the villas are home museums now. We will visit the Lake Tuusula Shore Road and painter Pekka Halonen's atmospheric log atelier Haloseniemi. Halosenniemi home museum provides art exhitions in a unique setting. We will finish the day with a visit to Lotta Museum Canteen where we will have coffee and taste locally baked pastries.

Our tours are guided tours for individuals or groups.
